Rapid Prototypes – Stereolithography (SLA or STL)
Ti Squared Technologies, Inc. has in-house rapid prototyping capabilities using the Thermojet stereolithography process from which we take your three-dimensional computer generated CAD drawings and create wax models which are then cast in our foundry and transformed into your prototype. Our quick prototyping process suits a wide range of commercial applications and can even be utilized in the manufacturing of small quantities of component parts. This process has proven accuracy, versatility and the ability to fabricate nearly all geometry, cutting delivery times down from weeks to days and in some applications down to 72 hours.
With Ti Squared Technologies’ vast experience in titanium casting and expertise in utilizing our rapid prototyping system we can facilitate with your design engineering in each phase of the prototyping process. Further, our staff can recommend the most effective and efficient options to create the best prototype meeting your specifications.
Rapid Tooling
For small production runs where the cost of wax injection tooling cannot be justified, we offer a low cost tooling approach which is viable for hundreds of units. Simply send us your solid geometry by E-mail and we’ll implement our stereolithography process to convert your file into temporary tooling to create production quantities of titanium castings.
Benefits of Ti Squared Technologies’ Rapid Tooling:
• Cost-effective for unlimited number of units
• Prototype equal to production component
• Potential upgrade to actual production part
• Short lead times
• Tolerances equivalent to investment casting
• Customary surface finishes are feasible
